I am the one who like to visit the park or garden to see the beautiful flower. It makes me relaxed. Nagai Park is located in Osaka. You may not ever heard this park's name. Nagai Park is hugh park and nice place to take a break or spend time with family / friends. Apart of the flowers garden, there are stadium, swimming pool and sport center.
Access
Nagai Station (Midosuji Line), Exit 3 (4 stations from Tennoji Station). Walk 3 minutes.
I went to Nagai Park in the morning and saw many people were jogging and took a walk.
The weather was nice in the morning. Saw the big stadium and the pool is next to stadium.
Garden
Just follow this sign to the entrance and purchase the ticket.
Opening Hours:
March-October 9:30 to 17:00 (entering until 16:30)
November-February 9:30 to 16:30 (entering until 16:00)
Closed on Monday (if it is national holiday, closed on the following day)
Admission Fee
Botanical Garden: Adult 200 yen
Botanical Garden and Osaka Museum of Natural History: Adult 300 yen
High school students 200 yen
Junior high school students and who are Osaka city residents aged 65
and over: Free admission.
Osaka Museum of Natural History has 2 parts which is Flower, Greenery and Nature Information Center (right photo) and Main Building. A short walk from museum, could see flowers heart and from here could see the large lotus pond with rainbow bridge.
Rose Garden Zone has many colors of rose and species. For example, the second photo on the right side has both orange and pink into one. It is Rosa Kaleidoscope. The zone is decorated well.
The colorful Hemerocallis flowers (Daylilies). It is hard to pronounce this name.
I am familiar with Lily name. When the flowers bloom, they are beautiful.
Move to other zone. I took many photo around this zone. There are so many hydrangea (in Japanese called Ajisai). It blooms in rainy season (around June). I love the blue hydrangea. Which color of hydrangea do you like? In my country, I don't see many hydrangea like in Japan.
I spent 2-3 hours in Nagai Park as it is hugh park and many species of flowers. The admission is cheap and worth. If you visit here, don't forget to bring camera.
